How to Clean and Dispose Tools Safely

Cleaning and disposal of tools

Tools such as brushes and rollers can be washed with water because enough air can enter them. Rags, paper, or other similar oily materials must not be placed in a waste container; due to the risk of fire, they must be burned or watered and placed in a fire-resistant container. An empty paint jar is not suitable for this as it may contain gases that may cause an explosion. Read more about cleaning different tools.

There is also a small risk of fire due to the ignition of oily dry grass, which can also be watered if necessary.

The product should not be allowed to enter drains, watercourses, or the soil. The wood oil must be delivered to a toxic and dangerous waste collection center. Empty, dry sales packages can be delivered to a public landfill.
